Ram (Random Access Memory)

RAM (Random Access Memory) is a type of computer memory that is used to temporarily store data that a computer's central processing unit (CPU) can quickly access. It is a volatile memory, which means that it is only able to hold data while the computer is powered on. When the computer is powered off or rebooted, the data stored in RAM is lost. RAM is considered a "working memory" and is used to hold the data that a computer is currently using or processing. This allows the CPU to access the data much faster than if it had to retrieve it from a storage device like a hard drive. The more RAM a computer has, the more programs it can run at the same time, and the faster it can access the data it needs to run those programs.
